How we make money

Preper is free to read. To write and update the guides, we rely on two sources of income.

Some links to shops (for example the “See offers” buttons) are affiliate links. If you go to the shop through one of them and buy something, the shop pays us a small commission. The price you pay stays the same.

On English pages we mainly link to Amazon. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. On Romanian pages we mainly link to Romanian retailers through affiliate networks.

Pages that contain affiliate links say so at the top, and the links are technically marked as sponsored.

Advertising

Ads on the site are served by Google AdSense and labelled “Advertisement”. We don’t choose which ads appear and we don’t endorse the products in them. Google asks for your consent before using cookies for personalized ads, and you can change your choice at any time.

Our rules

  • We recommend types of equipment based on criteria explained in each guide, not on commission.
  • We are not paid to write about a product. If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be clearly labelled.
  • When something can be done without buying anything, we say so first.
